By now y’all are probably familiar with some of my favorite dames, the Puck Huffers. Kim and Zoe are the creators of the now famous Staal Brothers Drinking Game that is helping you get through these playoffs. The drinking game has been linked up and down the block and been on radio shows. It was even mentioned on TSN tonight….without crediting or specifying the origins. Which is so not cool. Here’s what I told them and got back an automated response;
The community of hockey bloggers fights hard to protect their work and their reputations. We do our best to take care of our own, share links and tips and create content. More or less, it’s a quilt of hockey love. So tonight on the broadcast when the Staal Brothers Drinking game was mentioned without properly crediting or attributing to the source, it’s disrespectful. The Puck Huffers are two dames (yes females, not males as you assumed) who have a fiercely loyal fanbase and not mentioning that the Staal Brothers Drinking game is their creation, it’s absolutely insulting.

We need to flood their inbox. I’m in Pittsburgh, so I don’t get TSN, but one of my friends lives in Canada and heard it. I was stunned. Not cool at all. Kim and Zoe are fabulous gals and must be credited for their amazing work.

I wrote to TSN as well, but it sucks that they won’t be broadcasting anymore of this series so Kim/Zoe can get a correction/apology.
On the other hand, I love listening to Jim Hughson call the game.
