Yeah. That’s how hockey was tonight for me. The Leafs lost spectacularly to the Buffalo Sabres. Though the sexy GQMFs of Viktor Stalberg and Luke Schenn were back. But that wasn’t enough to stave off the epic collapse and fail of Vesa Toskala. I must like to hurt. I must like pain.
Oh the Chiefs. I could hardly sit still when I saw that Chris Bruton had returned to Spokane to say “hey wassup.” Him and Derek Ryan came out, waved and wore those scarves the organization is pushing. Which I suppose is cool. Since a lot of people can’t entirely commit to wearing team colors, a scarf is a nice start. I think this is what they are trying to accomplish:

The Chiefs had moments of energy but it was fleeting. Kyle Beach was out with an illness or whatever that even means. Considering how knocked around he was the last game, him sitting this one out was probably advisable. Mitch Wahl is apparently the only one trying to score. Though, Anthony Bardaro scored tonight, which was clutch because it at least helped the team get to overtime. I’m not talking about the overtime. YOU’RE ON MY EFFING LIST, BARTMAN.
It’s great seeing Captain Spurgeon. Though it is rather curious he was affixed with the C instead of keeping the A in the absence of Jared Cowen. I’m not complaining, I love that little urchin.

Honestly, he’s been lacklustre. He seemed to pull his weight the first handful of games. Then he was switched to play more like a forward which isn’t working out.

Naw it is injury. He’s been through the ringer lately. In the Portland game alone he took a stick to the face, got clocked by Ian Curtis and was boarded pretty hard. The Winterhawks were all over him that night.
