The Hurricanes raised 23,000 bucks for charity by shaving their heads and staches.
The one player who did not participate? Dustin Donaghy. It’s going to be hard for me to say nice things about him now…

i dont think that anything bad should be said about donaghy for him not shaving his head. thats a personal decision. I was bummed at first that he didn’t shave his head but i think he gives good reasoning.

Then I would assume he of all people would be eager to participate. He’s a boy, his hair will grow back quick enough. The point of it is awareness and team morale.

i think its easier to sit back and judge others. i think everyone could do more than they are doing including myself. instead of buying that jersey that we want we could donate that to a charity. i guess his hair is important to him and he is content with visiting hospitals and donating money.
I understand where you are coming from but in the end imo it was his decision and it will not change my opinion of him even if it does others. they raised alot of money and i dont think one person not participating should take away from that. im not attacking you thats just how i see it.

I was suprised by that number, since it’s their first one. Really good job on their part. My favorite pic has to be Rowat with just his top half shaved lol

I understand his reasoning and I applaud him for putting out a statement about why he made the choice he did but I honestly believe for as much money that was raised and people paid for his jersey to see his head shaved that he could of at least done the stache it would have been back by Friday. But Donny is a human and can make his own choices and even if we don’t fully understand them I believe we must respect them.
