I wish I could find my Zoolander gif, of Mugatu saying how Hansel is “so hot right now.” But that’s Kyle Beach. Notching two hat trick in one week, what else can he do? He hit a bit of a cool spell but I think it is safe to say he is heating up again. I calculated his current points per game, it works out to 1.27. The gang at Second City Hockey eagerly awaits their future center. Cynumber9 was rad and tweeted me this article on King Kyle. Did you find the error in the article? Someone’s name wrong perhaps?
Most of the quotes in the article are pretty standard, but here is one to note:
“This year, the U.S. Division is the strongest that I’ve ever seen it in my career. It makes for some very exciting and competitive games, considering that anyone can beat anyone else on any given night. Even the Seattle Thunderbirds are no slouches. They may be in a bit of a rebuilding phase, but they have beaten all the other teams this season, proving they can do it, and they have some great players and a great goalie. It’s good to see how strong it is, though, because it makes you better. You know you can never take a game off or that you’ll get an easy win. It’s also good in that we’ve been playing playoff-style games for most of the year, so we might be a bit better prepared for the playoffs.”

Is “center” a typo, or do you think that’s Beach’s future position? As a Hawks fan, I’m hoping for a sniping winger who can play the point if needed.

Well, Kane really needs someone who can finish his passes and I hear Beach has the shot and perhaps the hands to do so. His 46th tonight apparently was a one-timer.
