I have this weird thing where I dread midweek games. Since I feel like its a time to slack. Don’t worry, I have this same irrational feeling towards the Leafs.
However, did the boys deliver. Right out of the gate and something like 43 seconds into the first period. The boys put up four goals in twenty minutes, including two from Blake Gal. By the second, he got his hat trick. I will not let him cut his hair. That’s where his power is. But I like to tell myself he’s growing it out to be like Kris Letang.
Darren Kramer finally showed his truculent side. I wasn’t the only one giddy with delight. Pretty sure some of the other dames were thinking “I now need a Kramer sweater.” Darren, we welcome you to Spokane.
The team skated exceptionally hard in the first and second. The effort tapered off in the third, but they were worn down. But they kept control of the game and put Calgary in their place.
It was a really sexy game. I think we all left pregnant from those gorgeous top shelf goals scored.
Also it was totally sweet that the Chiefs let Mac Engel take to the net for the last eight minutes or so. He was so excited and it was contagious.
This made me happy. Looooook.
Final damage: 8-1 Spokane.

You would’ve thought goal celebrations would get old…they did not. Gal should not cut his hair….ride the momentum boy! GangBangLetang’s magic mane may be the inspiration behind that…someone should ask so I can get a good ab work out. I was thinking they should’ve put Engel in at the start of the third, but it was still nice to see him at least get in there. Uh….Kramer…..yeah. I was pretty much speechless with the last fight and the arm-waving to the crowd. My face still hurts from smiling so much. MY PERSONAL FAVORITE GOAL OF THE GAME GOES TO….Miller. Second period I was sitting right behind Calgary’s net and it was a beauty. Had the puck in his hands and you could tell he just wanted to chuck it in the net but he somehow made room to quickly drop it to his stick and slap it in….so pretty. My only complaint lies with Beach (surprise, surprise). He tried to corner Gow into dropping the mitts…Gow’s a 16 year old and giving up a lot of height and told him no quite a few times but Beach wouldn’t drop it. Just leave the kiddo alone or I might climb the glass and kick your shins.

The Beach’s seem to have a habit of trying to play outside of their weight class.
HOW GREAT WAS GOW LAST NIGHT? What an effort from him. He was so hungry to play. It was delightful.
I need to find my Letang hair porn gifs. I think I even titled the files that…
Did you see Engel run back to the dressing room with a huge smile on his face to get his mask. IT WAS ADORABLE.

I love Gow! Have since we brought him up as a 15. He did play really good last night and isn’t subject to many rookie mistakes….plus his hair sticks out of his helmet and makes him look like a quail.
And no offense but….who stole Brassart’s wheaties?! That was not very nice of them and he really needs them back.

It was a great game. Can’t argue with a game that had fights, a line brawl, a hat trick, and a chiefs win.

Gal is so great. He’s a solid piece of the team and I think he’s often overlooked. He’s quite the darkhorse.
